NTHA ‘Trainees & Apprentices’ Seek NSW Field Officer

NTHA Trainees & Apprentices is currently looking for the right person to join the team as a Field Officer in NSW.

This role would suit someone who knows the timber, hardware, building materials or trade-based industries, understands how these businesses operate, and wants to use that experience to help develop the next generation entering the workforce.

While NTHA is not looking to poach good people from member businesses, many members may know someone who could be ready for a change. It may be someone who has stepped away from the tools, is looking for a more people-focused role, or has built a strong career in the industry and now wants to give something back.

The position will support apprentices, trainees and host employers across the Sydney region, particularly Western and South Western Sydney, with some travel to Newcastle and other areas as required.

The role includes regular site visits, mentoring apprentices and trainees, supporting employers, building relationships with schools and training providers, and helping more businesses take on and retain young people in the industry.

NTHA is looking for someone who is practical, organised, a strong communicator, and genuinely interested in helping young people succeed. Industry knowledge is highly regarded, but the most important qualities are maturity, reliability, relationship skills and a strong commitment to the future of the industry.

The role includes a fully maintained vehicle, laptop and phone, flexible working arrangements, a competitive salary package, and the opportunity to do meaningful work with a strong industry purpose.

If someone comes to mind, NTHA would greatly appreciate members passing this opportunity on or encouraging suitable candidates to have a confidential conversation with Melissa Clark, General Manager, on 0411 346 727.

This is an important appointment for NTHA Trainees & Apprentices, with the right person set to make a real difference to apprentices, host employers and the future workforce of the industry.
